The VELUX Top Hung windows are operated from the bottom of the sash allowing easy operation at the right height within the room. Depending on the size of top hung window they can be used as a means of escape within loft conversions. When fully open you not only enjoy uninterrupted views outside but the oepning sash does not encroach on the head space within the room.

Easy Cleaning
Both the centre pivot and top hung VELUX windows allow the user to rotate the opening sash 180 degrees for easy cleaning of the glazing. Using the barrel bolt on a VELUX top hung window enables the sash to be held in a 180 degrees rotation while the window is cleaned.

Clear Lacquered Pine

SECURITY & SAFETY
VELUX Top Hung Locking Handle
This handle replaces the standard one installed on the top hung model. It allows the window to be locked closed or locked slightly open allowing a small amount of additional ventilation. The top hung model still incorporates the vent bar at the top allowing ventilation while the window is closed.
Non VELUX Top Hung window restrictor
How to make a top hung window safe for say a childs bedroom?. In these cases we offer to install the ERA window restrictor in white or chrome finish. They can be installed to allow the window to open but restricted enough to prevent an escaping child.
