FEATURES
Upstand
An upstand is what keeps the rooflight off the roof surface. It is required by building regulations for safety and weathering. Our expertly crafted, made-to-measure upstands are composed of a high-quality blend of materials, including waterproof plywood and insulation material for exceptional energy efficiency.
All our upstands have an in-built moisture barrier, ensuring no diffusion of moisture through the wall, and eliminating the risk of condensation. They also feature a plaster board connection, glass right to the edge on the inside and a light reflective RAL 9010 white colour on the inner. We have used all our years of experience to construct an upstand which is easily installed and provides the ultimate in both security and longevity.
Motorized
We make enjoying fresh air truly flawless, with motors that are swift, strong and move your rooflight softly up and down at the touch of a button. Our stylish rooflights designs offer a powerful lifting mechanism to elevate the majestic spans of glass, framed with built to last materials. Our motors are neatly concealed in our made-to-measure upstand, an elegant alternative to the normal visible motors used in many other products.
Enjoy a full, wide angle opening in just 40 seconds, for optimal ventilation. Finally, functionality is included to prolong the life of the mechanism, meaning you can enjoy your perfect daylight experience for longer.
Outer Frame
Our aluminium frames are designed to work perfectly with our high quality multi-layered glazed panes. They are crafted from highly durable and strong aluminium, selected for its high corrosion resistance, joint strength and malleability. All our frames are hand-welded on the inside of the corner sections to ensure a smooth surface and a completely tight connection.
They are treated with a polyester powder coating to ensure a hard and durable outside finish. The standard RAL powder coating on our frames is an understated 9005 Jet Black, but you can choose from a variety of special colours which can help to give your rooflight a distinctive personal touch.
Glazing
Superb specification glazing is a must for any rooflight to deliver on its full potential as a daylight design feature in your home. Vario rooflights come with either a double or triple-glazed low-energy laminated glazing unit, which are specially crafted to stay together in the unlikely event of a breakage, rather than shattering into small shards.
The triple-glazed units also offer a heat-strengthened middle glass layer and the cavity between the panes is filled with insulating argon gas as standard. All glazing units have a warm edge spacer to ensure a thermal breakage. Warm edge technology minimises the risk of condensation at the pane edges and provides the glazing units with the most durable insulation capabilities.
